Stock fencing around straining post

Stock fencing

Stock fencing usually consists of wire netting with one or two strands of separate wire (plain or barbed wired) in order to contain livestock.

Moons Agri fencing always uses termination knots in the wire each end of the strain, ensuring that the wire will not slip through the staple over time.

Depending on the livestock you wish to enclose, the squares within the wire netting can vary.

Post & rail fencing

Post and Rail

Post and rail fencing provides a more aesthetically pleasing fence and can be used to set a boundary or keep animals in an area.

The rails in the fence may be rounded or square depending on the customers preference and budget.

when building a post and rail fence the rails will be fixed as a half bond. This increases strength and durability to the fence.

Gate post
Gates

Gates and gate posts can be installed by Moons Agri fencing.

Even if it's a single gate post to install or a gate to adjust we're happy to help.

Gate posts are usually dug in and set in concrete or post Crete, but they can also be driven into the ground (depending on ground conditions).

A variety of gates and gate posts can be installed depending on aesthetics and use.

Plain & Barbed wire

Similarly, to stock fencing, plain and barbed wire can be used as a cheaper alternative to contain livestock or set a boundary.

If needed, plain wire can be insulated and electrified to keep bigger livestock from rubbing against the posts.
Both barbed wire and plain wire are tied off on each end of the strain using a termination knot.

Repair work

Repair work can be carried out to existing fences.

special joining knots can be used to extend, re-join or shorten wire.

The knot in the picture above is called a figure of 8 knot and can be used on stock netting, plain wire or even barbed wire.

As well as wire repairing, posts may also be re-driven or replaced whilst the old wire is still in place and standing.

Any type of wire can be tensioned if it has gone loose.

Repair work can also be carried out to post and rail fencing by replacing any broken or rotten rails.
